Un paesaggio di colore arancio
2015 – ongoing
The gaze and the crossing are the measure of the city. Multiple attempts at modification draw a landscape in orange. Temporary, suspended, in the balance. The shape of the city is unstable, precarious, almost capricious or perhaps fatalistic and forgetful. Even the finished architecture seems expectant.
All photographs were taken between 2015 and 2022 in Reggio Calabria, Italy.
Workshop
On 9 October 2026 the photographs became the starting point of a public workshop at Spazio Open, Reggio Calabria: La città come cantiere permanente, co-organised with Alberto Ziparo, with ten speakers. Their talks will become the texts of the book. Speakers and press on Events organised.
Exhibition project
Shown at La biennale dello Stretto 2024, Forte Batteria Siacci, Campo Calabro — curated by Alfonso Femia. At the centre of the room a collage draws a new landscape, made of views from the sea towards the coast of the Strait, aligned along the line of the coast itself.
